Panhandle Junior High School has implemented a Student of the Six Weeks at each grade level. We are piggybacking off Coach Dane Ashley’s idea at the pep rallies this year. We will honor one student from each grade level every six weeks. Students are chosen by their teachers and awarded a gift card provided by The Panhandle Pharmacy. The students are chosen based on academic effort, attendance, and attitude toward school and their classmates. Teachers also discussed the character of being a Panther, which includes the pride of being a Panther and exhibiting that behavior through actions at school, extracurricular activities, and overall school spirit.
The winners of the first six weeks are pictured. Left to right are 6 th grader Spencer Merideth, 7th grader Deidrich Fehr, and, 8th grader Sawyer Brookshire. The staff would like to congratulate these students on their award and effort to attain the honor.
