Principal

Allison Mitchell

Welcome to Panther Nation! I’m Allison Mitchell, and this is my 16th year in Panhandle. I have been fortunate to spend 10 years teaching, and this is my sixth year stepping into my elementary principal shoes, and I LOVE it! It is my honor to come to work each day.

It’s extremely exciting to lead our campus to big and new adventures for the 2024-2025 school year.

I have experience in general education, special education, reading recovery, and have served in a support staff role as elementary music teacher. I love Panhandle with all of my heart, and I cannot wait to see where this year takes us.

I am married to my high school sweetheart, Tanner, who is a Chemical Engineer for Chevron Phillips in Borger. We have two daughters, Reagan who is in Fourth Grade this year, and Lauren Grace is one...along with a cantankerous dachshund at home named Gus, and a perfectly rowdy Yorkie pup, Minnie Pearl.

I am a Texas Tech Red Raider through and through, and I consider myself to be a life long learner.

I believe that every child can and deserves the opportunity to learn, and through hard work mixed with some fun, it is our ultimate goal to prepare our students for secondary readiness.

We have the greatest staff, students and facilities, and I am honored and humbled to be apart of such a phenomenal place. I believe that we are #blueribbonbound and destined for absolute greatness!

”Excellence is the gradual result of always striving to do better.”- Pat Riley

Be blessed!
